Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice..

Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice..

Fall is upon us! It’s SUCH a cliché, but time does go by unbelievably fast. By this date, last year, the hot new song was BTS’ Dynamite. I don’t know how, but that feels like it was yesterday and ten years ago at the same time!

With the falling leaves and the cozy atmosphere, Fall always feels nostalgic. It’s funny because I’m not sure what we’re even nostalgic of, but the feeling’s there. It gets a little colder, and it suddenly becomes the best time of the year to curl up with a blanky read or watch early 90s romcoms, Gilmore Girls (again), or the newest horror film. I’ll be doing all of these things, and now, we’re super excited to tell you that you can too, accompanied by the latest addition to our tea family, drumroll, please...

 Pumpkin Spice!!

What we recognize today as the “Pumpkin Spice Tea Latte” first came out as a Starbucks drink in 2003. The drink received “Icon” status in the early to mid-2010s. Pictures of girls in the cutest fall outfits and Pumpkin Spice Lattes or “PSLs” were everywhere. Seriously. If you weren’t online, let me tell you that the grip the Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte had on the internet was insane. Tumblr was a shrine to photos of Pumpkin Spice Tea Latte aesthetics, and you couldn’t even go on Youtube without seeing one of the OG beauty gurus coming up with a video like “Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe!” “Easy Pumpkin Spice Latte!” or “How to make a healthy PSL at home.”

When I think about these recipes, they were delicious and still are, but I don’t think healthy or easy would be the best adjectives to describe them. I’m a klutz in the kitchen, but I’m pretty sure I’m not exaggerating when I say that those weren’t exactly easy either! Mixing all the nuts and spices got very messy very fast. The good thing is, none of us have to worry about that anymore!

Our Pumpkin Spice Tea is SO good. If you’re looking for a healthier PSL fix, we’ve got you covered! And guess what!? It’s entirely caffeine-free, has chai and yummy nuts in it, and of course, it’s entirely fairy approved.

Ingredients: Red Rooibos, Almond, Pumpkin Pieces, Vanilla Bean, Calendula, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Allspice, Cardamon, Clove, Anise Hazelnut pieces, Apple Pieces and Vanilla Extract. All organic and fair trade and packaged on 100% biodegradable teabags per usual.

I generally like my tea plain, maybe a little honey, but during Fall, I believe ‘tis the season to go ALL OUT on fancy drinks. So here’s the recipe to my go-to drink for Horror movie marathons and Harry Potter re-reads. Enjoy!

Channel The Flannel Latte:

Add ½ a cup of boiling water

One tea bag

½ cup of milk of choice (I recommend almond to stay with the nutty theme)

One tablespoon of honey or maple syrup

Mix well, and if you are feeling extra fancy, top it off with whipped cream and a cinnamon stick!
